Stacking the Shelves May 6, 2012

Welcome to my Stacking The Shelves post!  Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews so follow the link and check out what other stacked on their shelves this week.
Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!

I did not think I would be purchasing any books this week but I got two pre-ordered books from Amazon. I also got several Amazon Vine books to stack on my shelves and a free book from R.L. Pendergast. And for my virtual books shelf I got eARC's from Edelweiss.   There is no way I can read fast enough to keep up with what I am stacking on my shelves.

From Amazon Vine several ARC's:
Along Came a Duke, Rhymes With Love by Elizabeth Boyle - I don't know about the title but I do like Elizabeth Boyle's books
Lyon's Bride, The Chattan Curse by Cathy Maxwell - This one was listed in the last call section.  Unlike the regular newsletter items where you can only choose 2 per newsletter with last call items you can take as many as you want but you still have to keep up the 80% review rate.  I missed this one at first but kept reading reviews so decided to get it.
Frommer's Alaska 2012 - I am going on an Alaska trip this summer so this will get a lot of use.
From the author:
Dinner with Lisa by R.L. Pendergast - It is a signed copy with a bookmark included.

Purchased from Amazon:

Murder on Fifth Avenue by Victoria Thompson
The Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier: Invincible  by Jack Campbell

eARC's from Edelweiss:

The Bride Wore Pearls  by Liz Carlyle
Lessons from a Scandalous Bride by Sophie Jordan
Return of the Viscount by Gayle Callen
The Warrior Laird by Margo Maguire
The Sweetest Dark  by Shana Abe

  2. These all sound good. I have never gotten any books from Vine's last chance program. I am just keeping up with my reviewing with the four I get and my NetGalley books. I like the selection at Edelweiss and will check them out when I don't feel so overwhelmed with what is already on my review stack.

My new books posts are at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. I got bunches this week. Happy reading!

  5. One of these days I really, really need to get into The Lost Fleet. I just know I'm going to love it, which is the part that scares me. 8 books and counting? Just what my TBR pile needs!

    1. The Lost Fleet is addictive but each book is a fairly quick read. It is a great series.
