Betting the Rainbow (Harmony #7) by Jodi Thomas

Contemporary Romance

From Goodreads:

New York Times bestselling author Jodi Thomas returns to the town of Harmony, Texas, where life has a way of making better plans than anyone ever imagined

Sisters Abby and Dusti Delaney have spent their entire lives on Rainbow Lane, but they dream of something bigger. So when a poker tournament comes to town, Dusti is determined to win enough money to leave. Enlisting expert Kieron O’Brian to teach her the game, sparks begin to fly as they play their hands. But Kieron refuses to stand in the way of her dream, even if it means losing her forever...

After a year of traveling, Ronny Logan is settling into a home on Rainbow Lane, but that’s all the settling she’ll be doing. Ronny refuses to fall for anyone, regardless of the chemistry she has with her neighbor Austin Hawk. Yet something undeniable begins to grow between the two loners—if only they can let their barriers fall and open their hearts.

Betting the Rainbow brings an HEA to two long time Harmony women.

Ronny Logan come back a year after Marty died. She moves out to the lake and finds herself attracted to Austin Hawk, a man with as many regrets as she has.

Regan and Noah have to work through some very bad times but finally Noah is back in Harmony to stay.

Add to the mix the Delaney sisters and the man who teaches Dusti Delany to play poker giving her a chance to change both sister’s lives.

They story winds around all three couples.  Like the other Harmony books Betting the Rainbow is a feel good story.  Some things really would not have happened in real life but this is fiction.  While I enjoyed the story for me I was not as good as the pervious books. It does however provide an good ending for several long running characters.

What I found the most interesting was the sample chapter of the next book, A Place Called Harmony, that was in the back of the book.  That story takes place in 1876 as Harmony is founded.  I am looking forward to that book and the story it tells.

Berkley Books published Betting theRainbow by Jodi Thomas in 2014.
