My teaser today is from The Clockwork Scarab (A Stoker &
Holmes Novel) by Colleen Gleason. I just started reading love seeing how the world building is introduced right at the start. This is a steam run England and this tease shows how London is very different.
"Above me, the buildings rose stall they seemed to meet, blocking the sky. Great dark sky-anchors soared above the cornices of the tallest structures. They floated like eerie gray clouds chained to the roofs, keeping the uppermost parts of the building stable."
