  • I can’t wait to get a copy of…
  • I wish I could read ___, but…
  • I blogged about ____ this past week…
THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: Do you use your local library? What do you like (or dislike) most about it?

I have three local library systems I can use.  Two I can use for free and one I have to pay $15.00 a year as I am outside of their city limits.

I use the one I pay for the most as it has the best collection.  The one thing I like least about that system is the charge for putting a hold on the book.  I understand the .50 charge.  It helps keep people from requesting a hold and never picking the book  up.  People that do that keep the book out of circulation for days and keep others who want the book from getting it.  I just remind myself that it is cheaper pay .50 than to buy the book if it is one I really want to read.

The population has outgrown the library in the city where I live.  It has no more room to expand so any time they get a book they have to pull a book out of circulation.  I use it when they have the book I want but too often they do not.

The last one I can use for free does not let you keep the book very long.  Like my local library it does not have that great a collection.  I very seldom use it.

I do use my local libraries a lot.  I love to read and enjoy getting my books from multiple sources.
