Short and Sweet Book Reviews # 266 - Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, When We Found Home by Susan Mallery

Spinning SilverSpinning Silver by Naomi Novik

It was tough trying to see where this one was going to go. Told from multiple points of view the story follows two women from different classes as their lives intersect. I loved the story and enjoyed knowing what different characters thought as different times in the story. I also loved how each of the two main characters turned events around and made good use of them.  This is complex with so many layers that I did have to stop and think about where and what was going on. It is a play on a fairy tale with slightly different results.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

This is two romances in one but is not the main theme of the book. This tells about three siblings who only meet when some are grown and one is still a young girl. At the heart is family is everything but sometimes it takes time for all to adjust and learn to love. A nice story that kept up a interesting flow with problems that keep popping up causing change in all.
