Great Mix

The Lady Has a Past (Burning Cove, #5)The Lady Has a Past by Amanda Quick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lyra Brazier and Simon Cage are a interesting mix. When they get together their talents merge. A missing person, a long standing arrangement, and the need to find Raina Kirk keeps them both going. Love the mix of past and present characters. Also you really get two couples for the price of one.

Important Issues

Unfinished BusinessUnfinished Business by J A Jance
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Unfinished Business is both complex and interesting. It touches on several issues that are part of the news today. Jance does a great job linking the issues to the plot. A new character is added to the mix and it looks like this one is here to stay. Great story line and character mix. Don't miss this one.

More Murderbot

Fugitive Telemetry (The Murderbot Diaries, #6)Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Murderbot discovers a dead body on Preservation Station I knew it was going to be an interesting ride. I was right. Murderbot is the same as ever, very snarky but having to hold it in this time as working with humans who were not enemies lead to a external change. Loved the action and the supporting characters. Loved returning to meet Murderbot again.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A chance to meet with the previous 6 couples while watching Krash find his mate. There are problems as Cyan Blue thinks he is a fake and Krash is on earth to forget being pushed aside for another. This is a fun series with the planet Drakon at its heart.

Walk Through Memory Lane

Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First CenturyNomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century by Jessica Bruder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a walk through memory lane for me. So many of the places in the book were places I visited when I had a RV. What was not memory lane was how Linda and friends made their living and how hard it was. I was left with questions? How are this group of people doing during the pandemic. Looking and hoping to find out. This is a great read for all income groups. It really points out how income defines class. This was a book club book.

A Re-visit

Colony On Fire Haven Colony Book Two: (The Sectors SF Romance Series)Colony On Fire Haven Colony Book Two: by Veronica Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was good to see Chief Ranger Micah Navonn of the Calinurra and Dr. Saffia Mandell again. Two years have passed and they are still going strong. There are some problems but the really big one happens when they are half a world apart. That brings a problem to light and a solution is coming. A nice addition to the series in a story with great characters.

Not My Cup of Tea

The Bookstore on the BeachThe Bookstore on the Beach by Brenda Novak
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I juist wanted this to be over. There should have seen some tension in the plot line but for me it was just something I kept reading but never bought into. I did see what would happen at the end but it was not very clean cut. Instead it was hard to buy into to the missing husband not to mention the Mother's hidden history.

Nice Addition

Blood Debts (Leonidas the Gladiator Mysteries, #1.5)Blood Debts by Ashley Gardner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This novella expands the knowledge we have of Cassia and Leonidas. There is a murder and a solution. Finding that solutions takes the two across Rome and into the countryside. A nice story and a good way to get my Leonidas fix as I wait for the next book

Several Plot Lines

Death at the Crystal Palace (Kat Holloway Mysteries, #5)Death at the Crystal Palace by Jennifer Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great addition to the series. Once again Kat solves the mystery before any others. Seems her job as cook gives her a view denied others. We learn more about the cast of characters as the follow several different plot lines.

Grat New Series

Blood of a Gladiator (Leonidas the Gladiator Mysteries, #1)Blood of a Gladiator by Ashley Gardner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Leonidas and Cassia are really great characters. They form a team working together to build a new life. I loved the visual descriptions of Rome in the time of Nero. Great new series with lots of possibilities for plot points. Pick this up for a fun read.

My Enemy or Not My Enemy

Heiress In Red Silk (A Duke's Heiress #2)Heiress In Red Silk by Madeline Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Who knows why the will was written as it was but it is still making many unhappy. Rosamund Jameson is not unhappy about being one of the heirs Kevin Radnor does not care about the money Rosamund inherited. He does want something else she has. Fun at times and serious a times this gives a interesting look at past characters while giving Rosamund and Kevin a HEA>

New Solutions

Space Baby (Interstellar Sheriff Book 4)Space Baby by Jenny Schwartz
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Good to see everyone again. Two years have passed and things have changed. New characters, new president and new problems. Leave it to Them to find the solution where their did not seem to be one. I love this series. The things I expected were not there. Instead I found a much better story and more room for interesting plots.
