Who is watching who

Adverse Possession (The Anna Albertini Files, #3)Adverse Possession by Rebecca Zanetti
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Anna is down to just one man and that one is Aiden Devlin. This is a interesting watch as Devlin moves between two worlds while keeping a close watch on Anna. Of course there is danger and tension and romance on several fronts. Great characters and a fun plot.

Who and Why

What the Devil Knows (Sebastian St. Cyr, #16)What the Devil Knows by C.S. Harris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One again we follow Sebastian as he moves through the underbelly of London seeking The Who and the Why. Two important men has been killed and the past and the present seem to be colliding. Great addition to series. Other important plot points also arrive as the story continues.

Cute and Fun

Sweeping Ashley (Grim Dating #2)Sweeping Ashley by Eve Langlais
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What happens when you promise your first born but there is no first born. That is where Derrick and Ashley come into the story. They are not a match - no never, never, never. Fun to see them try to ignore their attraction. Seems someone else knows them better they they know themselves. Cute Fun Read

Quirky

A Bad Day for Sunshine (Sunshine Vicram, #1)A Bad Day for Sunshine by Darynda Jones
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Who says you can't go home again. Sunshine Vicram has just proved that saying false. Even so her first day as sheriff keeps her more than busy. There is a large cast of characters supporting a plot filled with fun, danger, tension and friendship. Great start to a new series. Loved the setting and all the quirks that go with it.

Look Below the Surface

Lord Satyr (Lords of the Masquerade Book 2)Lord Satyr by Jade Lee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A cute story that stresses looking deeper into someone - don't take the surface look. Lord Sayres and Lady Gwen our main characters are more than they seem. I loved seeing them get together and finally find both what made them happy and their HEA.

Book Two

Picnic in Someday Valley (Honey Creek, #2)Picnic in Someday Valley by Jodi Thomas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book two in this new series we get to see all the characters and left over story line. Something new - something old - and something that is such fun to read. I love the large cast of characters and how they all end up interweaving in each others lives. A great read for this time of our lives.

Did Not See That Coming

Wild Sign (Alpha & Omega, #6)Wild Sign by Patricia Briggs
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Charles Cornick and Anna Latham are two of my favorite characters. They are such opposites and that is what makes them such a good fit. Once again they are off on a mystery and it just keep getting bigger and bigger. While they work through what is going on we get to see more the two and their relationship. Big surprise at the end. I didn't. see it coming.

Not What I Expected

CrosslineCrossline by Russ Colchamiro
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This did not live up to the hype. It had too many familiar trops and not enough new and different elements. I kept reading but it just never captured my attention and did not draw me into the story.

Not My Favorite

LegacyLegacy by Nora Roberts
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This just went on and on and the main focus for the plot was pretty thin. I kept reading hoping for more substance and less changing points of view. OK for Nora Roberts fans. For me it was something I started skimming through trying to get to the meat of the story.

Finally Free

Soul of Eon (Eon Warriors #8)Soul of Eon by Anna Hackett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Instant Mating. That is unheard of but it happens in time. Just as it happens the two mates are captured and must escape. Look for some surprises, lots of danger, romantic tension and finally home free. There is a hint about the next book so stay tuned.

Something Missing

Reckless Road (Torpedo Ink #5)Reckless Road by Christine Feehan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I liked Player and Zyah is certainty his perfect mate. Of course he messes everything up when he cannot tell reality from fantasy. There is a lot of tension in the story as well as a look at other members of Torpedo Ink. I like the story line but felt that something was missing at the end. Still a must read series for me.
