Writing to Passive

A Judge's Secrets (STEALTH: Shadow Team Book 3)A Judge's Secrets by Danica Winters
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Too much passive story line and not enough active for my taste. There was tension and romance as the story progressed. A lot of danger but the bad guy was the one I suspected from the beginning.

Interesting

Shards of Earth (The Final Architects, #1)Shards of Earth by Adrian Tchaikovsky
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This caught me for the first half, bogged down in most of the second and left me wondering at the end. This is pure Science Fiction and the Architects are a very unusual and interesting life form. The characters were interesting and there was tension and danger throughout the book. If you want a pure SciFI book this is for you.

What Happens in Vegas

Tigre (Alien Castaways #6)Tigre by Cara Bristol
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kat and Tigre strike sparks the first time they meet. What a pair. Kat with trust issues and Tigre just trying to win her over. They have a rocky road but the HEA does come for both of them. There is danger, tension and romance as well as what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Until it does not.

Free at Last

<Servant MageServant Mage by Kate Elliott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fellon longs to be free but when the opportunity comes it is not what she expects. That is the start of a tension filled journey. This has the problem that Fellon was recruited for and the long range problem that is yet to be solved. This is an easy and enjoyable read. The world building and character development is folded into the plot. The plot is not straight forward and the twists and turns kept my attention. Everything is set up for the next book.

New Series

Gutter MageGutter Mage by J.S. Kelley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With an interesting plot Kelley sets the stage for later books. While one thing is settled much is left up in the air. The plot allows for character development world building. This is a great start to the new series.

More LOL

Hitched to the GunslingerHitched to the Gunslinger by Michelle McLean
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gray “Quick Shot” Woodson and Mercy supply more laughs per minutes than any book I have read lately. Gray just wants to retire which is hard for a gunslinger. Mercy just wants keep her home and she is in danger of that. When Gray turns up in front of her house the fun begins. Read to see how this plays out and get read to laugh, laugh, laugh.

LOL

Devil in Disguise (The Ravenels, #7)Devil in Disguise by Lisa Kleypas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lady Merritt Sterling and Keir MacRae should have nothing in common but they really product sparks when they meet. I loved the story and how many times it made me laugh out loud (something we all need right now). The secret in the story was often included Sebastian (one of my favorite characters from the first books in the series). It was good to see him still acting as he did at first. This is a must read for series fans and an easy one to read as a stand alone.

Nice Story

Hunted (Interstellar Brides Program, #17)Hunted by Grace Goodwin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vice Admiral Niobe and Quinn are a match but they still have problems. Interesting addition to the series. Not much tension but a lot off intersection on the part of the two.
