Arabella The Traitor of Mars by David D. Levine

Arabella just cannot keep from putting herself in danger. This time to save Mars. It looks like she and her beloved Captain Singh are on opposite sides. But wait! Will they really fight against each other. It is fun to watch real history and the alternate history that Arabella lives in collide. I think this was the best story of Arabella Ashby's adventures. Read book one and two first so you have the entire world building and back story.

Paradox by Catherine Coulter

This is book 22 in the FBI Thriller series but it was easy to read as a standalone. While there were mentions of previous cases they did not impact the flow of this mystery. I enjoyed the story even though I knew who and what long before most of the mystery was revealed in the book. A lot of my enjoyment was generated as I got to know the characters and how they reacted to the plot. A nice series and a easy to read story.

Arabella and the Battle of Venus by David D. Levine

Arabella returns with a new adventure. This time she is off to Venus to save her her fiancé, Captain Singh who has been captured by the French. Set in the early 1800's there is a mix of fantasy and historical fact in the story. Be advised that the heavy duty backstory and world building were done in Arabella of Mars so for the most enjoyment read that first. I found Arabella and the Battle of Venus to be a much darker book than Arabella of Mars. When I read the authors notes I though I saw why. That said like the first book it is filled with interesting characters, a strong tension filled plot and exciting action.

Arabella of Mars by David D. Levine

A great heroine with an new take on space travel. Arabella starts on Mars, goes to Earth and returns to Mars. Her trips help develop the backstory and the world building. I loved Arabella and her take charge attitude. She lives in the 1800's and has many of the restriction that women of that time had to deal with. She never let that stop her. She wants to save her brother and takes a drastic step to warn him of the danger she is unaware of. Lots of action, tension and adventure set in a very interesting solar system.
I listened to this as an audio book and loved all the voices that the reader gave the characters.

From Arabella of Mars by David D. Levine. I kept seeing this one on different blogs so when it was on the shell at my library I checked it out. It has a great start and looks like a fun read.
