Never Love a Highlander and Seduction of a Highland Lass by Maya Banks

Both Never Love a Highlander and Seduction of a Highland Lass have been on by TBR shelf for over a month.  My goal this week is to clear some of the books off this week before more books arrive.

Seduction of A Highland Lass:  Alaric McCabe is wounded on the way to wed for duty.  He is saved by Keeley McDonald.  The attraction between the two is immediate.  Will he honor his commitment to an arranged marriage or will he go with his heart?

Never Love a Highlander:  Caelen McCabe was betrayed years ago and vowed never to marry.  Then he agrees on a marriage that his clan needs but he is going to protect his hear.  Rionna his new bride is an usual woman, a warrior in heart and deed.  Can she get Caelen to accept her as she is?  Will he ever open up his heart to a new love?

Both books are well written and the main characters are fully developed.  The plots are predictable but the plot development has enough suspense, drama and romance to satisfy most readers.   These are the last two book in a three books series.  All can be read as a stand along but I recommend reading them in order.

Ewan is the oldest of the three McCabe brothers.  He is a strong warrior who has worked tirelessly to bring his clan back from a treacherous attack eight year ago.  The last thing he needs is for a woman wearing the colors of his enemy to show up on his land.  Mairin has been in hiding most of her life.  She owns valuable property and is on the run for her life.  Ewan becomes her safe haven.

In Bed with a Highlander is a great start to the trilogy. The plot is filled with romance and suspense.  It is fun to watch the conflict and attraction work between Ewan and Mairin. They are just two of the great characters in the book.  I look forward to the next two books featuring Ewan’s brothers Alaric and Caelen.
