Silent on the Moor, A Lady Julia Grey Novel by Deanna Raybourn

Mystery

Silent on the Moor is the third book in the Lady Julia Grey series. Like the first two books Deanna Raybourn takes a slow approach to the mystery allowing time to build the background and develop the characters.

Lady Julia wants to find out once and for all if the attraction between she and Nicholas Brisbane will develop into something deeper. Nicholas has retreated to Grimsgrave Hall on the Yorkshire moors and despite his wish that she not visit Julia arrives with her sister and brother. She finds a home that is on the verge of ruin, an ancient family with many secrets, and one secret from the past will threaten both Julia and Nicholas.

Silent on the Moor answers many of questions raised in the first two books. I have not been able to decide if this is the last Lady Julia Grey book. It could be a conclusion to the series although there were enough issues left to continue the series in future books.

Silent on the Moor could be read as a stand along but it would be better to read the first two books before picking this one up.

Mira published Silent on the Moor by Deanna Raybourn in 2009
.
I don’t remember where I purchased Silent on the Moor. It was either Amazon or Borders.
