Short and Sweet Book Reviews # 348 - Darknet by Matthew Mather, Alien Commander's Reluctant Bride by Juno Wells

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tom Taylorson does a great job with the voices in Darknet. Jake O'Connell starts having it all but when his friend is murdered his life starts to fall apart. Seems that a rogue computer program is on the loose and is very dangerous. This is a seat of your pants read with a large cast of characters and a very convoluted plot. I wondered how anyone would survive as the action took place across the world. Just as I though I know what was happening there was a new twist. Great action thriller with a premise that could be true.

This is my first time to visit the world of the Draconian Warriors and I really enjoyed my visit. Kearney and Kendra are the two main female characters. They have one focus, to rescue their family left on Earth. Tabor is the Draconian Warrior who has decided to protect the two as they work to find the recourses to return to Earth. Tabor is such a great character and his actions are what drive the story. All of the characters fit the story. The plot seems simple until it gets very complicated. This is part of a series but works very well as a stand alone. I look forward to more visits to this world and would really like a Draconian Warrior of my own. Since changes are good that will not happen I will just have to get my Draconian fix from books.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.
