Musing Mondays, November 19, 2012

This week’s musing asks…

Do you read the ending before you start a book? Do you ever skip ahead to read the ending?

I don't think I ever read the end before I start a book but sometimes I do read the end after I have started the book.  This is not something I do on a regular basis.  I think it ruins the book if I know the end.  There are times I just wonder where the author is going with the story because nothing is making sense.  That is when I skip to the end. Often when I do that it is a book I do not finish.

That's a sensible answer. But I don't peek.

There is one reason why I go to the ending, once in awhile. However, I always check to see how many pages are in the book, but I never read the ending in doing so.

There is a thought... I have one book I started a while back and cant seem to get through. Maybe if I peeked at the ending my interest will be peaked and I can finish it.... hmmmm

There, I admitted it.

I do the same. If nothing is making sense then I need a reason to finish the book :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I can understand why people would skip to the end of a book and read it when it is something that isn't too great or is incredibly confusing like that. Though I still could never do it myself, lol. Thansk for stopping by! Vyki @ On The Shelf

I agree with that, the only time I skip to the end is when I don't really like where the book is going, and when this happens I tend to not finish it anyway.
