Book Beginnings on Friday, May 18, 2012

Book Beginnings on Friday is a meme hosted by Gilion at Rose City Reader. Anyone can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read, making sure that you include  include the title and author so others know what you're reading.

I just started Murder on Fifth Avenue by Victoria Thompson.  This is book 14 in The Gaslight Mystery Series.  Here is how it starts.

Murder on Fifth Avenue (Gaslight Mystery #14)"Detective Sergeant Malloy?"

Frank hated answering stupid questions from goo-goos when he was in the middle of an investigation."

I had to keep reading to find out what a goo - goo was.  I love this series and Murder on Fifth Avenue is off to a great start.

What a goo-goo was was also the first question that came to my mind. I hope it is a good story. Happy reading!
