The Wolf Who Loved Me by Lydia Dare

Paranormal Romance

Here is what Goodreads says about The Wolf Who Loved Me:

A new sexy Regency paranormal trilogy by bestselling author Lydia Dare features hunky werewolves who need to learn how to behave in polite society. Can this pack of 'gentlemen' be trained in the ways of the ton, or is it too late to teach an old Lycan new tricks?

Lady Madeline Hayburn is called upon to lend her respectability and introduce the Hadley brothers to society. Mr. Weston Hadley admires her from afar, yet his very presence draws her in...

I don’t think that gives a very good picture of the book.  Certainly the Hadley’s need shaping up but Lady Madeline is not the one who is given the task.  Instead she sees Weston Hadley change on the night of the new moon.  She cannot be allowed to share what she sees so and her life is taken in a new direction.

Story:  There was not much of the paranormal is this story.  It is more like a straight historical romance.  Weston does shift and is stronger than other men but that is about it.

Writing: The dialog is good and keeps the action moving.  However, I did not think the plot was that good.

Characters:  I found them to be a little flat.  I got tired of hearing how perfect Lady Madeline was and how insecure Weston was.  The backstory for the side characters was also weak.

The Wolf Who Loved Me just never caught me up in the story.  The book lacked the tension required to keep my interest.

Sourcebooks published The Wolf Who Loved Me by Lydia Dare in 2012.

I received an eARC of The Wolf Who Loved Me from NetGalley. The book will be released on April 1, 2012.
