Book Beginnings on Friday is a meme hosted by Gilion at Rose City Reader. Anyone can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read, making sure that you include the title and author so others know what you're reading.
My book beginnings today is from To Honor You Call Us (Man of War Series) by H. Paul Honsinger. This is book one in the series and is a book I received from Amazon Prime. To Honor You Call Us is published by 47 North, Amazon's Science Fiction publishing company.
"04:14Z Hours 11 November 2314 (General Patton' Birthday)
Lieutenant Max Robichaux, Union Space Navy stood in the crowded boarding tube, breathing the scent of fear-acrid sweat from the third-four other men he had been able to round up from the USS Emeka Moro."

Yikes, that doesn't sound like a pleasant wait =S Interesting that Amazon has a SF publishing company now. Happy reading!
My Friday Book Memes
I'd like to know more about this book. Some sci-fi is appealing to me, but it just depends on the plot. This sounds like it could be a good one.
Here's the link to my Friday post: HANK & CHLOE.
I'd keep going. But then, I really like science fiction. Happy reading!
The title threw me there - I was expecting an Honor Harrington book. Sounds like my husband might really like it. Thanks for stopping by to see my post at Leopards and Dragons today.
Good beginning! I'd definitely keep going with this one. Hope you enjoy it. And thanks for the visit today!
Not my kind of read, but thanks for sharing.
I hope you like it.
I didn't get a chance to do a post, but I just finished THE FEVER TREE. It is a beautiful, powerful, mesmerizing book. Reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, Shelfari, Booklikes, etc.
Review will be on my blog along with a giveaway on February 21.
Meanwhile, there are two giveaways on my blog if you want to stop by.
