Romance
From Goodreads:
"Small-Town
Girl, Big-Time Crush
Amy
Wilson longs to escape the pointed barbs and knowing looks that come with
having a certain reputation in a small town. A temp job with CEO and rancher
Jack Shepard seems to offer a way out, if only she can stay focused on her
goal.
Former world-class athlete Jack is
as relationship-phobic as they come, so he's not worried that the
soul-shattering kiss he and Amy shared will affect their working partnership.
She's a girl who's going places, but Jack starts to wish that maybe he could
tag along for the ride."
Her Rancher Rescuer is the final
book in Donna Alward’s Cadence Creek Cowboys series and Amy and Jack’s story is
a great ending to the series. Both
have events in the past could keep them from having a chance at a happy
future. Amy plays a part that
people expect of her and Jack helps her see she does not have to be that
person. Jack on the other hand
just can’t put a big mistake in his past where it belongs.
I loved how strong Amy was and how
she took control of her life and refused to let the past rule her. On the other hand I wanted to give Jack
a good strong kick where it would do the most good. Between Amy changing and Jack refusing to let go of past
hurts the two had a tension filled journey to their HEA. All in all Her Rancher Rescuer is a very good finish to the
series.
Harlequin published Her Rancher Rescuer by Donna Alward in 2014.
I received an ARC of Her Rancher Rescuer from Netgalley.
*Donna’s books have been published
under Harlequin Romance. Her
Rancher Rescuer is the first book to be published under the American Romance
banner. Since I follow authors not
what Harlquin banner they are published under I don’t know if this will make a
big difference in her books. I
hope not as I enjoy what and how she writes.
