Tuesday Teaser November 15, 2011

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.
Here is this week's teaser from Silver Shark by Ilona Andrews This is a novella and is book two in the Kinsman series.  It is CDSF.

"Do you have any implants, modification, or kinsmen abilities to declare?"  "No." Claire's mind was hidden behind four layers of solid mental shields, enclosed in a hard outer shell, accreted over the period of the last four weeks as a result of constant mental strain."

Ilona Andrews is the pen name for a husband and wife writing team.  Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former U.S. Army sergeant.  They write the Kate Daniels books and The Edge books.  So far there is a short story and this novella in The Kinsman Series.  I am hoping for more.  This world has unlimited possibilities.

Nice teaser. I have this one on my Kindle but haven't had a chance to read it yet.

Hmm the teaser makes me wonder if she really does have abilities she's hiding behind her mental shields.. very intriguing! I haven't heard of this author before or the book.

Thanks for hopping by my site :)
