Book Beginnings on Friday March 9, 2012

Book Beginnings on Friday is a meme hosted by Katy from A Few More Pages. Anyone can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read, making sure that you include  include the title and author so others know what you're reading.

I love Jayne Ann Krentz's paranormal books and I found Copper Beach on a trip to the library this week.  This is book one in her Dark Legacy trilogy.  Here is the beginning.

"There was nothing like the drama of a deathbed scene to expose the skeletons in a family's closet"

I though it was a great beginning.  Who is dying?
Who is at the deathbed?  What skeletons?  It just made me want to keep reading.  Another nice things about her books.  They are a really fun and fast read.

Oh the fun and the fast---those are the best reads! They do exactly what a book is supposed to: yank you out of reality for a few hours a day :)

Good beginning. I haven't read any of these books but will have to look them up.

You're right! That IS a heck of an opening line - I would not have been able to stop reading either :) I will keep my eye out for that one.
