I am still reading the Assiti Shards series or the Ring of Fire series or the 1632 series by Eric Flint. Baen keeps renaming the series so who knows what it will be called next. From the cover art alone, this one looks to be fascinating. If I remember correctly, it's from a series about Americans transplanted into late-medieval Europe? That flag is reminiscent of Spain's...any association with the Holy Roman Empire and Hapsburgs?
