Short and Sweet Book Reviews # 303 - Andrea Vernon and the Corporation for UltraHuman Protection, Exit Strategy by Martha Wells

Andrea Vernon and the Corporation for UltraHuman ProtectionAndrea Vernon and the Corporation for UltraHuman Protection by Alexander C. Kane
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Andrea Vernon is a failure to her family. Then she gets a job as the administrative assistant to the head of the Corporation for UltraHuman Protection. The only catch - she cannot ask any questions. It is fun to watch her get answers the hard way while interacting with a large group of superheroes. This is a fun to listen to story with lots and lots of interesting characters, all super heroes. These are not your usual ones. Each is uniques and each has very different abilities. Great fun and often over the top. Includes danger, romance and tension as the corporation has to stop an alien invasion. Of course Andrea is the one who leads the win.

Exit Strategy (The Murderbot Diaries, #4)Exit Strategy by Martha Wells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I started Exit Strategy in a sad mood and was sad when I finished. Not because the story was sad. In fact it was fun and full of tension. Murderbot was its usual self with a lot of pithy comments that offend brought on laugher. The humans kept throwing curves and Murderbot had to keep changing its plans. So why sad? Because this is the forth and final in the Murderbot Diaries series. I loved the ending and hated that I would not see more of this wonderful character.
