Thunderstruck by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Contemporary Western Romance

What Goodreads says:

The lone cowboy

Damon Harrison never gets too involved. A cowboy at heart, Damon has turned his commitment phobia into a living flipping houses. The only exceptions to that rule? His foster family at Thunder Mountain Ranch. And now those exceptions have talked Damon into working on a new project with a carpenter named Phil.

Only, Phil is a nickname for Philomena Turner. She has a wicked way with carpentry and an even wickeder way of turning Damon's head. And the chemistry is like a lightning bolt of lust. But Phil wants a family and a home, and no hotshot cowboy even a tantalizingly sexy one will change that. All she can steal are a few nights of sizzling passion before she has to set this lone cowboy free.

I love this spinoff from Lewis’s previous series.  Damon Harrison is one of the foster sons of Thunder Mountain Ranch.  He is back to help save the ranch and get more than he expected.  Damon is a great character.  He thinks he is happy and does not need others.  His foster mother is out to prove him wrong.

Philomena Turner goes by Phil and is about to met and help Damon build a log cabin.  She is a match for Damon in more ways than one.  I what really loved was her strength.  She did what was best for her even as it broke her heart.  Thank heavens it did not take Damon long to realize alone was not what he really wanted.

This is a fun series with great characters.  There is still a lot to do to save the ranch and there are more characters who are connected to the ranch.  That means more stories and that makes me very happy.

Harlequin published Thunderstruck by Vicki Lewis Thompson in 2015.

I received an ARC of Thunderstruck from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
