My Book Beginning this is from On The Prowl by Particia Briggs, Eileen Wilkes, Karen Chance and Sunny. The first novella is by Patricia Briggs and is titles Alpha and Omega. It tells how Anna and Charles met and is a great introduction to the Alpha and Omega series. Here is the beginning:
"The wind was chill and the cold froze the ends of her toes. One of these days she was going to break down and buy boots-if only she didn't need to eat."
