Book Beginnings, December 6, 2012

Book Beginnings on Friday is a meme hosted by Gilion at Rose City Reader. Anyone can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read, making sure that you include the title and author so others know what you're reading.

"You know that saying about lightning never strikes twice in the same place?  Well, I'm the living proof that it's totally false."

From Time Thief by Katie MacAlister.  This is the first book in a new series and has been on my TBR pile about 3 weeks.  I have gotten as far as the first two sentences.  Of course by the time you read this I will have read a lot more.

This is the front of my house at 5:00 a.m. today.  We have 6 inches of snow and it is still coming down.  This is the south so we just stay home when this happens.  Good thing to because all of the streets that would take me out to the highway are closed.

Nice holiday decorations. I would stay home in this weather too.

Love the title of this novel and the open lines are very interesting! Thanks for sharing this :)

Wow that you guys have gotten quite a bit of snow already! It's only snowed once up here so far and that didn't last long. A stay-in sounds good in that type of weather.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am so sorry about your sleet under snow but I know how you feel -- we are just solid ice right now in the DFW area. I will be glad when Sunday gets here and we can have the big thaw!
