Musing Mondays, January 13, 2014

MusingMondays5Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…  Musing Mondays is sponsored by Should Be Reading.
• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

This week I want to thank everyone who commented on my post about spam in the comment section.  You shared how you stopped the spam in the comments section and I learned several things I did not know.  I followed your suggestion and now I have done away with those comments about drugs and other things.  Thanks, Thanks, Thanks.

I use gmail and I noticed they are good at sorting through the e-mail and putting those annoying spam messages in spam where they belong. I'm always amazed and wonder how they know what is what!

So good you were able to get them to stop. Nothing worse then spam commends, for a while I was getting 50-100 perday on my book blog.

Thank you for stopping by Fire & Ice

So glad you were able to get the spam under control it can be so bad. I know myself I had 50-100 spam comments a day.

Thank you for stopping by Fire & Ice

I'm glad you could solve your spam problem, but also turn off the word verification feature. It's especially aggravating, when one can't completely pick out the letters. Sometimes when that happens I give up on trying to add a comment. WordPress is pretty good at controlling spam, but like you I use Comment Moderation.
